A Sea of Experiences
A sea of experiences is created with the intention of giving the opportunity to young Europeans to approach nautical and aquatic sports, and at the same time, to share, practice and exchange experiences and knowledge in a healthy, equitable, companionship and relaxed atmosphere, promoting the values of sport in its essence. Santa Eulalia del Río will offer the maximum opportunities to participate in a marine environment characteristic of the Pitiusas, complemented by the association's own facilities and material for the development of each activity.
The participation of the entity in several training and informative sessions of Erasmus Plus and CES has allowed us to know the possibilities and interests of the European Solidarity Corps (CES). We value the ESC as a tool that meets our expectations as a sports social entity and allows us to offer young people, both from other countries and nationals, the opportunity to achieve the planned objectives, offering volunteers the opportunity to participate in different sports, social, inclusive, environmental, etc. strategies that promote sport and its values.
With the people we welcome in our projects, we will work on training through respect, sportsmanship, companionship, tolerance and trust through the practice of sport, among all members of the organization (athletes, parents, coaches, etc.), ensuring that all young people can have the same opportunities for learning and personal growth, while acquiring healthy habits of life.
The participation of young people in volunteer activities will strengthen among our athletes, staff, family members, volunteers, etc., the feeling of solidarity, cooperation, promotion of social inclusion and equal opportunities.
Thus, some of the objectives most directly linked to the volunteers are:
- To increase the sense of security, adaptation and motivation to the marine and aquatic environment.
- To increase their personal development and broaden their experiences, developing personal autonomy and self-esteem in the activities they will carry out, as well as coexistence and respect for others.
- Increase their knowledge of the environment, in this case the sea, integrating in harmony and respect.
- To develop the temporal and spatial structuring through the marine and aquatic environment.
- To develop an understanding of the various elements that interact with sailing and canoeing (sea, wind, boat, current, weight, etc.).
- To increase their knowledge of the material used in the different sections and its conservation.
- To acquire basic notions of safety in the marine and aquatic environment.
- To develop awareness skills towards vulnerable groups.
- Share social, sports and environmental experiences with groups of young people related to the organization, with whom to enrich, learn and help build a more inclusive society.
A sea of experiences' is at the heart of Club Náutico Santa Eulalia. This program integrates young European volunteers in sporting, social, inclusive and environmental activities and has proven to be a resounding success. In fact, the program has gained recognition for its positive impact on the community and its participants. This project seeks to bring sport and its values to the maximum number of people, especially school-aged people and those with fewer opportunities or at risk of social exclusion, while also promoting environmental protection and encouraging green practices. The duration of the activity for each participant is a maximum of eight months, with volunteers for the main swimming, canoeing and sailing sections.
