The sailing cruise “El Gaitero Dos”
The “Gaitero Dos”, is a sailing cruise which is used to participate in competitions such as Ruta de la Sal, Ruta del Canal or Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas, but also for many other activities such as navigation with an adaptive sailing crew, training young sailors coming from the Club itself, and two other activities that are important for good results in the sporting events organized by CNSE; being the committee boat in all our regattas and guide boat in Ultraswim. This is a swimming competition in open waters for good swimmers that have to face a very hard 30 km race between Formentera and Santa Eulalia del Río. Of course, this race is led by our Espada 34 that has to guide the swimmers to a safe harbour…
It is important to highlight the refit of the boat that the crew is carrying out, with a complete change of electric devices, a change of running rigging and little things here and there to improve the performance of the boat. In the coming months, other details will be completed making the boat even more competitive.
On a competition level “Gaitero Dos” has obtained different success in the last season, above all in the last Ruta de la Sal, coming 6th with a part of the crew belonging to the adaptive sailing team.
